PORTRAITS

The 'Stop Selfie' series of portraiture. Each individual is represented in their most raw state; ordinary and shamelessly organic. The flow of ink simplistically reflects the nonchalant attitudes of the sitters in stark juxtaposition to their careers in the limelight. The use of monochrome is symbolic of a life in black and white with shades of gray. Drawing inspiration from ORACULAR's love of Pop Art and printmaking, the human condition is explored in its most abraded form as the sitters hide their true self behind objects of vanitas.
